Current Fundraiser
With every tragedy, so many kind-hearted people want to help, but don’t know how. Unfortunately, a few bad actors can cast doubt and stop those who really need aid from getting it. Even well established organizations such as American Red Cross (which has a charitywatch.org rating of A-) still only send ~75% of raised funds to it’s stated goals. At UKIE, we want to put money directly into the hands of those adversely affected. Our current fundraising spotlight is listed below:
At UKIE Candles, we are dedicated to supporting those in need, especially during times of crisis. The Miroshnychenko family we are currently fundraising for is a Ukrainian family that has been impacted by the ongoing russian war. This family had lived their entire lives in Mariupol, Ukraine. When russians invaded the city, they decided to stay in their hometown, hoping that the war would soon end, but their house and apartment were destroyed by a russian missile. Luckily, they survived the attack, but were forced to flee their city to the Zakarpatska region of Western Ukraine, where they had to start their lives from scratch.
The family is retired and struggling to find employment, making it difficult to pay for basic necessities. At UKIE Candles, we spoke with them and heard their story. We are committed to sending the fundraised money directly to Mr. and Mrs. Miroshnychenko, to provide some support during this challenging time. Together with our wonderful clients, we hope to make a meaningful difference in their lives.
